FUOYE NAMES MULTI-MILLION NAIRA METROLOGY LABORATORY AND LIBRARY AFTER DONORS

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti has named the Metrology Laboratory and the Faculty of Engineering Library after their donors.

The Metrology Laboratory was named after Engineer Otis Anyaeji while the Faculty Library was named after Mr. Lanre Adesuyi.

Performing the ceremony at the Faculty of Engineering Lecture Theatre Ikole-Ekiti, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Asuzu, said the naming was in fulfillment of the University’s promise at the Fund Raising Ceremony organized by the University in Abuja about a year ago.

He described the donors as philanthropic, developmental and committed to the course of the University.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Engineer Anyaeji and Mr. Adesuyi rose to the need of the University at the time they were needed most.

In a remark, the donor of Metrology Lab, Engineer Otis Anyaeji described the initiative of the University to name the project after him as an encouragement to do more noting that such action would give him a sense of belonging in the University community.

Also in a separate address, the Chairman of Havilla Publishers who donated the Faculty of Engineering Library said he with the naming of the Library after him, he would ensure that the Library did not lack up-to-date books in critical areas of engineering development.

Engineer Otis Anyaeji Metrology Lab and Lanre Adesuyi Faculty Library are parts of numerous promises and donations being expected from the University’s Public and Private Partnership Initiative.
